PS CC 20.0.1 - save and other problems

Hi,

I have updated PS to 20.0.1 and cannot use it due to various errors I face. Cannot use Unsharp Mask because of a program error, cannot save because of a program error. What's going on? No restart or reboot seem to help. Please advise.

Greg

    JJMack,

They indeed have just updated the NIK plug-ins, but keep offering the free version as it was designed by Google. It's definitely PS that is not communicating with the NIK now. I hvae not changed anything in the NIK, but PS has been updated.

    thanks

That is not quite right Goolge purchased the maker of NIk collection.  In any case any free version will not have any support if there a problem with the free collection there will no fix programed for the free version.

Adobe does change  Plug-in support often  plug-ins  and extensions need to be updated for newer version of Photoshop because of Changes in Photoshop support Adobe made.  Some like Adobe Mini Bridge are not  updated so  Adobe Mini Bridge  for Photoshop will not work in newer Photoshop  versions were UI support was change from  a Flash interface to a html5 interface.

Have you tried resetting CC 2019 Preferences and tools.  If you have then post your CC 2019 menu Help>System Info.

    Hi JJMack,

In fact I have narrowed down the issue. The error occurs only when I have run the NIK plug-in beforehand. Since that moment at least this 2 commands I mentioned return the same error. Any clue?

    thanks

I tried to run other plug-ins to see whether this is related to using plug-in in general, but I can confirm only the NIK is causing the issues. The only remedy I found is to close PS and re-open it. Then I should stay away from the NIK, but that's not my goal.

    thanks

    Greg

If  Googl's old NIK Plug-ins you may need a newer version from  DxO.
