Hi all!

Two quick questions, I am attempting to re-create the following images via. PS -- I am struggling to decipher the effects used in both instances. Attempted to apply a 50% threshold bitmap to re-create the first image, however, was unsuccessful. Detailed advice / guidelines would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you!
