Jan 26, 2020 Jan 26, 2020

Every time I try the installed help, I get an error message suggesting that I may need to reinstall the CC app. I have done this after uninstalling PS and then downloading the latest version but the error message remains. Please help

Hi Derek,

Sorry, I should have mentioned this. It's on a PC running Windows 10 Pro

Try this:

Uninstall Photoshop, using the drop-down menu in the Creative Cloud app, and reinstall Photoshop again. If that doesn't solve the problem then unistall it once again and then run Adobe Cleaner before reinstalling Photoshop again.

Here's a link to Cleaner: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Let us know how you get on.

Hi,

I have done all of this, in fact the PS uninstaller didn't completely
uninstall so I ran IObit uninstaller that usually does a thorough job, then
I ran PS cleaner which was difficult at first as it needs winzip to do
this, and I don't have winzip. Eventually I was able to open and run the
cleaner, then I rebooted the PC and reinstalled PS. This time I got a new
error advising that something went wrong, but that message has disappeared.

Maybe I need to do it all again?

David
