PS Select Subject/Select background crashes the app

Every time I use the select subject/ select background on a pic I just imported from Lightroom PS crashes on my 2020ipad pro. No warning, photoshop just crashes.  I updated the app, I updated the ipad software, I uninstalled ps, reinstalled.  Please help
