PS Update - remove old versions - means what exactly?

Updating PS from Creative Cloud tool MacOS there's a tickbox "remove old versions ".

I'm using PS2024 25.12 desktop and v 26.1 is pending.

This update is FINE and removing 25.12 is OK!

What I don't want to have deleted is my old PS2020 installation.  I need it for a legacy plug-in I use.
Is "remove old versions " going to wipe out everything except the latest v26.1?  (Including PS2020)

OR - will it only update the most current previous version found on my system?

Just being cautious....

Correct answer D Fosse

"Remove old versions" will wipe them all.

Uninstall v 25 manually (in the CC app), before updating to v 26.

AND to preserve PS2020 - uncheck the "Remove old versions" tickbox I assume?  Thanks!

Yes. Sometimes it's a good idea to keep a prior version with your old settings in case some goes wrong with the new one. You can remove it later.
