PS Won't Open Photo from LR Classic after latest update 24.7

After updating to PS ver 24.7 today, when using "edit in PS 2023" from LR classic, PS opens with no image. Restarted my MAC mackbook Pro, and same thing. This has now happened with two updates of PS, but this time, it is worse. Needed to open the image from within PS itself and then after edits, saved it back to the file folder on my mac. Then I had to import back to LR. Not good at all. If it does not self correct, will go back to previous version.

I reverted to PShop 24.6 and that fixed it.

On my laptop it will eventually open but only after telling me Photoshop won't launch. Takes quite a while to get there but it eventually does.

I have the problem but it is nothing to do with PS versions, as I can replicate the problem all the way back to 24.0.1. I think it's a CC app library issue, personally. But maybe I'm wrong as others have been able to revert and it works again. I noticed last week before leaving for a trip that CC app showed a minor update. When I returned, I had the problem show up after trying to send a file or files to PS. If I select 'open as smart object' then the file will open as a smart object. Although closing the file gives an error 21. But it will open. Opening as a standard layer however doesn't work.

Also have the same issue with the Windows version.

On another PC where I run both 24,7 and the new Beta (25) version then 'the prompt has been changed to 'Open in Photoshop 2024' when selected the beta version of photoshop opens but no image is loaded, Lightroom eventaully complains 'Unable to launch Photoshop 2024'

Same problem here. If I try to open twice, it gives me the same message but eventually does open after giving me a message about Lightroom not being able to open the file properly.

I am having the same issue. PS ver. 24.7 installed today and LR images no longer open in PS. PS opens without the LR image. Running PS 24.7, LR 12.4, mac os 13.4.1

Reverting to PS 24.6 resolved the issue. Adobe help recommended waiting for a future PS upgrade to solve the issue in PS 24.7.

After troubleshooting with Adobe, I had to revert back to the prior version of the Beta app. Then the current version of PS worked. So for me the troble was with the latest version fo the PS Beta app.
