PSB Files in Lightroom Classic - good news!

Posting this in the Photoshop forum in case anyone missed the significance of todays LR Classic update.

Many of us save larger files from Photoshop using the psb large file format. With today's Lightroom Classic update to 9.2 we now have psb file support in Lightroom. It works I've just imported some to the catalogue to test it.

Just for completeness, the Lightroom physical size limit of 65,000 pixels along either edge still exists, so not every psb will import.

Now if we could just get support for PSD files without Maximize Compatibility. I have hundreds of old images that aren't supported.

I hear what you say but I doubt it will come quickly (if at all). I wonder if you could run a script to open and resave them with compatibility checked - a few nights might do it 🙂
