I do basically the same routine on every photo yet every once in awhile the .psd files save either all white or odd colours. It's hit and miss yet has been happening for well over a year with different versions of Photoshop CC. Suggestions?

Please post screen captures image do not attach png files file we have to download them to view them a wast of time and disk space. It looks like you have some PSD file on your system with bad preview jpeg previews in them. Always Save PSD files with the max compatability option.

i have no idea how to save a screen shot so you don't have to download it so i apologize for my ignorance. both ways i do screen captures save the same way. i'm sorry to have wasted your time. as to your response, i save my psd files the exact same way every time and somewhere around one in 20-30 save like this.

On windows the PrtScn key will put a screen capture in the clipboard Alt+prtscn the active Window will be copied into the clipboard you can paste into Photoshop or an image here in the forum editor. I'm sure mac OS will also have a screen capture feature. If you Open as PSD file and save it it will most likely save with the options it had when last saved. In your Photoshop Preferences you can set default PSD save options. I.ll past the screen capture here

Thank you! I was attaching the screen capture instead of dragging it to the comments pane. Anyway, I do have Always selected for the Disable Compression of PSD files. It's just very strange that I do nothing different between one photo and the next yet one PSD file is white or funky colours and the next several dozen are just fine. I edit a few hundred photos at a time and do the same thing for each one so it makes no sense. But thanks for the suggestion!

I believe its max compatibility option that make sure there is always full compose visible layers to insure the Preview Jpeg image in the PSD file is correct.

Also File can become corrupted previews can be messed up. The Files preview is the Image's Current composite jpeg. Here is a document saved with all of its layers four times with the same layer settings except for their visibility....
