psd image opens very slow after last update

opening psd image with photoshop is very slow. The image opens and the cursor then keeps spinning for at least half a minute and I can't do anything in PS. This happend after the last update.

Thank you for your answer. I went through some steps that I understood (my english is not so good) and it didn't help. After that PS reinstalled without preferences and the problem is partially gone. The first psd file I open opens very slowly and the cursor keeps spinning, then the rest open quickly. I'm using Windows 11 Is it possible that someone is watching me on the PC? Kind regards Hennie

Could you please confirm the operating system you are working with? Where are the PSD files stored on an internal drive or an external drive? Does the lag happen with any specific set of files?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

 

Please go to Preferences > Performance > Advanced Settings and uncheck the 'GPU compositing' option. You can also optimize Camera Raw, which handles Raw images in Photoshop, by going to Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw > Performance > Uncheck Graphics processor and increasing the cache sizes.

If disabling GPU compositing does not help, you can uncheck the  'Use Graphics Processor' and restart Photoshop.

    Bedankt voor uw antwoord.

    Ik heb sommige stappen die ik begreep (mijn engels is niet zo best) doorlopen en dat heeft niet geholpen.

    Daarna PS opnieuw geïnstalleerd zonder voorkeuren en het probleem is gedeeltelijk over.

    Het eerste psd bestand dat ik open, opent nog zeer traag en blijft de cursor draaien, daarna opent de rest wel snel.
    Ik gebruik Windows 11 
    Is het mogelijk dat iemand met me meekijkt op de PC?
