I came across this new language
but on the forum I have not found anything about it
could someone point me to the documentation for this new language.

 Learn more about the APIs over here and here. Scripting is currently available in Photoshop v23.5.

UXP will certainly appeal to everyone involved in modern web development. I have a slightly different background and I don't see the benefits it can bring to my work yet. I've tried writing several scripts using batchPlay, but so far I don't have enough experience to answer questions on it. @jefbr gave you a link to the UXP community - you should bookmark it, if you plan to use UXP
