putting a image in the iris of an eye

i want to reduce a face and put it in the iris of another person.

but when i enlarge the iris of that other person the face must be clear.

This is only possible on TV and film, not in real life. There's no magic "enhance"-button.

An image file doesn't hold more detail than the number of pixels in the file. It might be theoretically possible if you had a file so outlandishly gigantic that it would require a NASA supercomputer to handle. But there's no camera you can buy that can produce files of that size.

Hi Sam,

I took a picture (it's my daughter) and reduced it to about the size of the eye area. I set it to Multiply. I can't even remember everything but I think I made a circle with the Elllipse Tool to the exact size of the iris, then:

-Layer>New Layer

-Go back to the Ellipse shape layer (which is now a circle)

-With the Pen Tool selected, right-click, and choose "Make Selection" from the dropdown menu

-There will be an option to feather the selection, so depending on the size of the image maybe start with only 3 to 5 pixels and redo it as needed

-Go back to the image of the person and go Select>Inverse, then Edit>Cut

-

then Edit>Cut

You could add some of the Spherize filter, to make it look like a reflection.

By reduce, can I presume that you mean crop?

As @D Fosse wrote, there is no magic here, it depends on how many pixels you have after the crop and how large you are resizing.
