"Could not use the brush tool because the scratch disks are full." (Adobe Photoshop CC 2015)

Hey everyone,

I appear to be having an issue with drawing anything on Photoshop CC 2015. Whenever I try to use the brush tool, I receive the above error: "Could not use the brush tool because the scratch disks are full." I went to Edit > Preferences > Scratch Disks and saw that there was only one active drive (C:\). However, this drive had nearly 400GB of free space. I tried partitioning the drive, so now I have a separate (D:\) drive with 20GB of free space. I enabled the new drive and disabled the C:\ drive, but I'm still receiving the same error.

Any suggestions?

Without any additional info about your system, the images you work with, the brushes used etc. nobody can really tell you much.

I'm having the same problem. I just installed photoshop CC 2018, and downloaded a bunch of the new Kyle brushes. Just trying to use one on a blank document, and I get the scratch disk is full error.

I have one scratch disk with 5.06 GB space.

Any help out there?
