Hi All,
I cannot delete or change file names - "file is still open in another program" ... even though PS or any other program is closed.
Now I have to go to Task Manager > Processes > and stop Adobe Content Sybchronizer and/or Acrobat Collaboration Synchronizer ... depending.
Only then can I delete or change file name.
Is there a way of avoiding this? Can these Synchronizers be changed in behaviour or can they be turned off or eben deleyed? How important are they for other purposes?
Thanks in advance for any tips or solution

Hi @Klaus5F8D I'm guessing your files are on a server, external drive or cloud synced storage solution.
I don't beleive you can remove these aspects but they also shouldnt be the reason files are locked out.
We normally see this on Macs accessing files on a Windows server.

Hi Kevin,
not on a server.
Windows 11 64 bit latest version
Its not about accessing ... its only about deleting or changing the file name

Is this happening only in Photoshop? What version of Photoshop are you using?

No-not only in PS. Also from explorer. But only on files that were open in PS just before.
Again - as soon as I go to Task Manager and stop Adobe Content Synchronizer - all is good.
Adobe Content Synchronizer runs as a backgound app and makes Windows think a file is still open.
Therefore it cannot be renamed or deleted.

@Klaus5F8D do you have syncing enabled in the Creative Cloud app preferences, if so try pausing it

PS: actually have Creative Cloud disabled at startup-only manually
