keep getting this ones i start working in 2022 photoshop tried everything and nothing works im back on 2021 ps now works just fine but 2022 having huge issues with 

I am in a 1 layer document and I cant do basic actions like blue because I dont have enough RAM?

How is that possible I have 12003 MB of RAM available - This clearly isnt the cause of the problem.

I second this observation. After updating to photoshop cc 2022 both me and my colleague started experiencing slowdowns and out of memory errors. Photoshop now uses 22gb (PC) and 25gb (Mac) working on the same files. We can now only have one document open at a time, where our normal workflow would require a second document open for reference. 

Before this update, the same workflow on the same (type of) files would use 15-16 gb of ram, maximum.

I'd like to avoid downgrading as a fix, since that's kind of bass ackwards for a subscription modeled professional app.

UPDATE:

So I have two computers I use frequently:

1.  HP all-in-one at home
2. Mac with Windows 10 OS at work

Once my HP upgraded to Windows 11 and a changed a few settings, PS 2022 started working fine. Thank goodness! (see my current settings image below in case you are interested what ended up working for me) However, I'm still having to use PS 2021 on my work computer. Super frustrating.

I'm on a one-year-old nice Dell Windows 10 with NVIDIA GForce-RTX 2060 Super graphics card.  Bridge, Raw, and Pshop 2022 were all having GPU and RAM issues.  So far, forcing the NVIDIA card per the steps above for all of these app has eliminated the warnings/ crashes/ freezing.  Fingers-crossed this is the solution (other than reverting to 2021).  I think for me, it may have been tied to updatign my Graphic Card driver, wherein in the NVIDIA control panel, under Manage 3D, it seems I can no longer set it to be default globally, or in a program-specific manner--seems I have to do that in the Windows settings per above.  Hope this helps!

Hi, I found a solution after having an absolute nightmare with this myself. Go to the Adobe Photoshop 2022 app in Applications folder and if it is ticked, untick 'Open using Rosetta'. This worked for me.

Im having the same issues with ram and I deleted my old version

so I cant reinstall the older version of Photoshop.

What error message are you getting that indicates that your issue is in regards to the RAM? Knowing that, may help us to help you.

As of Photoshop 2022, many system requirements have changed. Please check this page, to ensure you have sufficient GPU power. Your 16GB RAM is sufficient. (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html)

In the meantime - please enter Preferences>Performance and ensure you're applying sufficient RAM to Photoshop. It may help to cut down on the usage of other apps, so there's more available to Photoshop.
