Clipping Masks: Using adjustment layers to affect only the layer below

I have had this proble for several years.  Everything posted on Adobe Community is wrong as always.  Google search is never a help.  The only way to effect only one layer witought taking 20 steps is to deleate Adobe and use a different software.  Almost all editing softwares can do this with only a simle step or two.  They are also cheaper and will have a significanly better work flow.  Any non-Adobe software will do.

I found the answer. In the Properties tab there's a small icon at the bottom that looks like a square box with arrow down. It means to only apply to the layer below. Click on that and it should work 🙂

Yes, that is the same as holding down Alt/Opt and clicking the line in-between the two layers as described earlier in the topic.

Or the same as selecting the upper layer and using the layer menu command "Create Clipping Mask".

Ah ok. I am new here and couldn't find Alt on my Mac 😛 so Alt = Option on Mac then.

Despite having said arrow, the adjustment layer still does affect all layers. I used the magic wand to make several selections (of flowers in a bouquet) and created for each via the small Plus sign + a new layer of it. I wish to change the curve of every single flower.
