Does anyone have a good trick for creating soft and realistic cast shadows for a magazine? Thanks!Screen Shot 2017-01-15 at 6.53.35 PM.png

Something like this ?

The left and right pages were created with the pen tool as shapes. The shape layer had drop shadow added at about 5%

A layer was clipped to each shape and brushed with a black soft brush a 0% hardness and opacity turned right down (5-10%). Blending mode is multiply

The additional layers layers marked "Left and Right Under" are just copies moved slightly to show extra edges.

If that is not what you want - let me know
