I'm about to buy a new computer.

Main use will be Photoshop.

I was suggested the nVidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super.

In the recommened list I see nVidia GeForce GTX 1660 but no  "Super"

Is there an advanted / disadvanted to take the Super card?

In Photoshop the main consideration is reliability. Buggy drivers is a never ending curse. Clock performance isn't important, although a fair amount of VRAM is an advantage (preferably 4GB or more).

The GeForces are made for gamers, and that's their priority. To get the latest games to run they sometimes cut corners, and fix the bugs properly much later. For graphics/photography/CAD/3D NVidia make the Quadro line, with their own drivers. Quadros are generally much more reliable with Photoshop, although at a higher price at similar nominal specs.

In the video community the emphasis seems to be more on GPU performance, so they tend to use GeForces a lot. You should head over to the Premiere Pro forum to see how they do with that in terms of reliability.

Recently NVidia split their GeForce drivers into a gaming branch and a studio branch. You should definitely use the latter for Photoshop.

Thank you for the fast reply.

Will there be a difference between the 1660 and 1650 cards?
