Recovering large temp file

My computer crashed and the file I was working on saved as a single black background. I tried to go to an earlier version of the file both through Photoshop and Windows File Manager, but it was not available. 

I then went and found the file in the temp folder but it is very large (8GB) and doesn't have the typical .tmp file extention. When I try to open the file Photoshop freezes. When I tried to append the file with both .psd or .psb I get 

If anyone could help me open the file that would be awesome. I am using the latest update of Photoshop.
