Question

Rectangular Marquee Tool Crash

Hey. I'm having an irritating problem. When I try a quick crop using the rectangular marquee tool, it crops the image then crashes. I have to control alt delete and start over. It does this about 75% of the time. It only started doing that after I uptated to Windows 11. PS and Windows/Graphics all updated.

Help?

sounds frustrating!

Try clearing the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences and under the General tab on the bottom right you will see
"Reset Preferences on Quit", then close and restart Photoshop.

You could also try Edit>Purge to clear your cache.

hope it helps.

Hi, Im so sorry to hear that didnt work,

try qutting Photoshop, and then restarting while holding down Command + Option + Shift to delete settings which should be plugin cache and settings. If. that doesnt work you can try calling Adobe support so they can log into your computer and see whats happening.

good luck!
