Rectangular Marquee tool no longer allows aspect ratio?

Am I doing something wrong or did they change this tool? I used to be able to select an aspect ratio or fixed w/h for a selection, but not anymore.

    Could you please post complete screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible? 

     

    What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?
    Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

    Resetting preferences did the job, it looks normal again. Maybe just a bug in the UI.

        Hi- as you can see, the "style" section is stuck on "generate image" although they are both greyed out - no option to select aspect ratio or anything else.

        Hi, thanks for reaching out! You can try changing the Style from the drop-down to Fixed Ratio and check if that helps (check the attached screenshot).
