Remove animation background

Hi,

I recorded my Adobe XD animation using Camtasia and now I have to remove the background of the recording. I cropped it in Camtasia to the point where the only thing you can see is the prototype. Then when I exported it from there, it has black background around the prototype and I don't know how to remove it.

I want to use it in Photoshop and add that animation to a bigger background and upload it to my portfolio (I will export it as GIF from PS)

If you look at this animation: https://dribbble.com/shots/7520340-Mobile-app-Rent-a-boat

I want to do the same: Place my animation on a 1600x1200px background and upload it in Dribbble. But I don't know how to insert it in frame like his one (with rounded corners)

I don't know about XD but the animation you showed me, I would do it all in After Effects 😉

Stager allows you to render / export without a background ( it's a one button click ) so why not just do that ?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this. All frames will be transparent and then just import into AE or Premiere

and render out as a movie.

The shortest path between 2 points is always a straight line.  Why not embed your XD ani directly into your Portfolio page?

Your Adobe XD embed code should resemble this:

<iframe width="800" height="400" src="https://xd.adobe.com/embed/xxxxxxxx/" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Post back if you have any questions.

I took the hard path - I re- created the animation in AE and now everything is fine. Thank You all for the answers! Have a good day!

Techsmith has free phone support for Camtasia. You might call them and see if you can do what you need inside Camtasia.

If I understood correctly, you have an animation file where you want to remove background. If it's an animation (or video) then the best place for removing background will be After Effects not Photoshop (Rotoscoping in After Effects)

I found the solution: I recorded a custom part of the screen so it's okay.

But still I can't finish my work properly. I can't upload my animation to my portfolio.

The issue is that I have that amazing animation made in XD but I can't get it out of there in perfect quality.

Then I want to place that animation on a background and in iPhone frame in order to showcase it better.
