here is a quick way,

With the magic wand tool, click on the white area and unlock the layer if its a background layer by double click on the lock icon, then press the Delete Button

I am sorry. I don't think I explained properly. There is no color, but when I save it as a JPEG, there is white making the logo a square instead of a circle.

You need to save as a PNG. A Jpeg will not save the transparency
