Remove Background no longer works in Photoshop 21.2.4

Is anyone else having a major issue with the Remove Background quick action having absolutely no idea what the background of an image is?

It was working perfectly in previous versions of 2020, but when I updated to 21.2.4, it is completly unusable. It just fades the image and picks up the smallest amounts of detail.

Any updates on this issue? I'm on a new Creative Cloud account and it seemed to fix the issue for a while but now my Photoshop is back to not recognizing the subject again. I would really like a solution to this problem. It's a great feature and it makes my production go a lot faster so it's really frustrating that there is no solution.

Hi @Graphics5FE1, this is a thread from nearly a year ago but I just tested this with Windows 10, Photoshop 24.1.1 Release and the action is working fine for me on the OP's image. What type of image are you trying it on? What exactly does the error message say?

Tested out a few photos and it seems to work for some and for others it completely deletes the subject. Working on similar images with a distinctive subject in the photos - mostly portrait pictures that I've always been able to use this function for.

Can you go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details here?

It will help narrow down a cause and possible solution.

I believe latest release is 21.2.6, have you tried to update Photoshop so we can check on our end?
