Hi
I am confused by what is on my system.
I use a MacBook Pro, running Sonoma 14.0.
Looking in the Applications folder in Finder I see a folder for Adobe Photoshop 2022, which has the Photoshop 2022 app. I also see apps for Adobe Photoshop 2023 and Adobe Photoshop 2024 in the root of Applications.
In the Creative Cloud app, on the Apps tab, I see Photoshop v 25.31 and Photoshop v 24.72
I want to remove the old versions of Photoshop.
I am guessing v24.72 is the app Adobe Photoshop 2023 (as the older of the two). Is that right?
And it looks like Adobe Photoshop 2022 is not refleted in the Creative Clous app and can be deleted from Finder. Is that right?
When it comes to deleting the older versions, do I need to do anything other than just delete the apps from Finder?
TIA

@Flybridge use the Creative Cloud desktop tool to properly remove the application and system resources.

Thanks, @Kevin Stohlmeyer , that removed the Adobe Photoshopm2023 app, but created a folder for that and added a Plugins folder. Can I remove that?
Also, it did not remove the old Adobe Photoshop 2022 folder and app within it. Is it safe to just manually remove that from Finder, or do I need to do other things? Or use another tool?
Thanks

DId 2022 show as installed on the CC desktop app?
It should show all installed applications.
Yes you can manually remove the remaining plugin folder without issue.

That is what is confusing me. It is in the Applications folder, but not in CC. I'm guessing I will have to manually mdelete it, but then I need to check numerous folders in the Library, I believe, to make sure it is fully gone. But with a later version installed, I don't want to delete something the newer version is using.
Perhaps I shoulkd remove everything and reinstall?

@Flybridge on the Mac inside each application folder is an uninstall application - use that. Avoid manual uninstalling (read deleting) applications whenever possible.

@Kevin Stohlmeyer that's the problem - there isn't an uninstall app in the folder. So I nthink it will have to be manual - unless there is a way of downloading somwething to remove it for me.

@Flybridge where did you purchase the previous installs?

They were downloads from my subscription. I previously bought CS6 for my Mac, but moved to the subscription model well before Covid.
