Hey, @themandarin1. Welcome to the community! It sounds frustrating to encounter that error repeatedly. Please provide the System Info from Photoshop. You can find it by going to Help > System Info and copying the details here.
If you see a crash report, please check 'Adobe may contact me for fixes and workarounds,' add your Adobe ID & submit the crash report to us.
Try this in Photoshop:
Go to Edit > Preferences > Image Processing > Select "More Stable" mode for the Remove Tool
Save & relaunch Photoshop and check if that helps.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hello @Sameer K I also have the same problem and it has not be solved by changing Image Processing to be "More Stable". Do you have any other suggestion?
Thank you!

I am having the same issue, since updating to 2025 I use the remove tool and it crashes PS, it is very frustrating because it is a tool I use often.

I have the same problem with the released version of Ps. The Beta is not loaded.
I guess we stop using the Remove tool until it is fixed.

I have the same issue with Photoshop Elements 2025. The moment you select the remove tool the editor will crash. Even after reinstalling PSE2025, restarting PC.

Just FYI,
Right after complaining about the crashes, my Norton warned me about an outdated graphics driver. The crashes stopped after the upgrade. So check your graphics drivers.

Sameer is right, although as of November 2024, what works on my system for this problem is:
Click Photoshop in the top left-hand corner > Settings > Image Processing > Select "More Stable" mode for the Remove Tool
Save and relaunch Photoshop. 🙂

This work around works for me also, just be sure to restart photoshop 🙂 Thank you for this 🙂

This appears to have helped for me. Crashed 3 times today when using the remove tool and after switching this over its not crashed yet. Hopefully it stays that way.
