Remove Tool doesn't work with macOS Sonoma 14.1.1

From yesterday, also after upgrading PS at version 25.12 the tool "Remove" suddenly is unavailable.

One thing to check: When the Remove tool is selected, in the options bar for that tool look at the Remove After Each Stroke option. Is it selected or deselected? If it is deselected, it will wait for you to paint multiple Remove strokes and then also wait for you to commit the total correction, by clicking the Apply check mark there or by pressing the Enter/Return key.

 

If you want the pixels under the Remove tool stroke to be removed immediately, make sure that option is selected.

If it’s currently deselected, maybe it got deselected by mistake. It should not have been changed by upgrading the application or the operating system.
