Remove tool error in PS 2025

Hi. Just updated Photoshop to V26.00 (PS2025). There seems to be an intermittent  bug with the new remove tool using AI. With a dng file:

Using remove with no AI works fine as it did before. Using the auto AI setting causes an error and asks us to send a report. Using AI always on results in the same error. Using AI off works fine. In some cases using AI on results in a grey opaque blotch on the part to be removed.

Using a raw file (non dng) The same bug, but intermittent...seems to work sometimes, other times not.

Plenty of ram etc and latest Nvidia drivers. Windows 10 PC.

@paul190453 I can replicate the issue with Photoshop version 26.0 on Windows 10, without AI enabled it works fine

Hi Ged,

Thank you for the reply...seems like a bug then. I've met you a couple of times on Shorncliffe pier a while ago. Hope the bug gets sorted soon. Cheers.

Update: Settings> Image processing. Changed remove tool setting to "stable". Seems to work better with AI auto...time will tell.
