Hi

Watermarks are usually added to ensure the owner/creator of the image is credited. Go to the owner and ask for a copy without the watermark. If the use is legitimate, that should not be an issue.

This would be quite easy. But I suspect that you are going to use someone else's work without permission. You could ask desiger if you could use that and get quality file from him/her.

The question was how to remove the watermark, not your law opinion...

Then my answer is the same. Go to the image owner and ask for a copy without their watermark.

Your answer is not helpful. I am a Realtor and I watermark my listing photos w/company name and my phone number, but now I changed companies. SO pictures are mine, listings are mine,  but I need to remove old logo and put a new one on, which will have same number but new company....So law is not a question here. Agree.

If the pictures are your and "YOU" watermarked them then you should have the originals that do NOT have any watermark on them. Use those and Re-watermark them and save a second copy.
