render video stuck at initializing. AGAIN

PS 24.7.0

When I try to render a video, I get an "initializing video" progress which takes about 30 seconds and then gets stuck at the end (> minutes, then I quit)

I've had this in some other versions, seems the same bug is back again.

PS 2022 (23.5.5) renders the same .psd without any issues whatsoever. (When I click 'Export > Render Video' the Render Video window pops up instantly)

MacStudio M1 Max, OSX 12.6.8

Thanks for sharing—it sure sounds frustrating. It's helpful to know that 23.5.5 works fine with the same file. Hopefully the team can pinpoint what's causing the delay in 24.7.0 on M1 Macs.

I have the same issue with it getting stuck. When I go to File > Export > Render Video (with Media Encoder), the process freezes right at the beginning, before the progress bar even appears.

I’m using the latest Photoshop version 26.10 on a MacBook Pro with an M1 Pro chip, 16GB RAM, running macOS Sequoia 15.6. I’ve tried everything I could find online. In order, I did the following:

1. Uninstalled Bridge (and when it was installed, it was always kept closed).

2. I followed these Adobe instructions, but nothing happened.

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/video-stops-rendering-at-50-percent.html?x-product=Helpx%2F1.0.0&x-product-location=Search%3AForums%3Alink%2F3.7.2-dev.2

3. Gave full permissions to all Adobe apps on my Mac

4. Disabled Red Giant plugins and even Cinema 4D.

5. Tried exporting to the internal Mac SSD instead of an external drive.

6. Logged out of my Adobe account and logged back in.

7. Tried exporting the PSD file directly with Media Encoder. It exported, but the result was just a static image, basically the same as a normal PSD, not a video.

8. Older PSD versions don’t work either.

9. Pressed Caps Lock to disable third-party plugins..
10. Opened Photoshop with Rosetta.

The funny thing is, my boyfriend has the exact same Mac and Photoshop version, and it works perfectly for him!

Is there anyone who can suggest other solutions? Exporting video from PSD is a crucial part of my upcoming business.

I am officially desperate! Please help! 😕😕

What worked for me previously:

I'm not yet using PS 26.10, since I'm on an older version of OSX, so cannot tell if it will work for you.

I was able to solve this by removoing some old red giant plugins that were messing with Photoshop video render.

Plot twist: it's still happening with the 26.1 update..........
Above is the error message i keep getting and the project window showing the actioin triggering it.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, Bridge & Media Encoder, but still doing the same thing. I restarted laptop (macbook pro), restarted the apps, uninistalled the apps then did a laptop restart before reinstalling, and still.. no luck.

I tried to open Bridge to render through there, but Bridge keeps force quittiing before it even fully loads the app, so that option is nixed.

Update: I attempted to render the video through Photoshop Beta and still getting the same error message. So now I can't tell if it's a Photoshop, Media Encoder, or Bridge problem

Holy cow! Holding the shift key while opening PS was the trick! Thanks for that tip.

Same issues. What an amazing idea it would be for Adobe to just add a denoise filter in Premiere. Absolutely astonishing (and infuriating) they haven't, after all this time. Anyone have any idea why it hasn't happened yet?

If you close both PS and Bridge, then start PS, it works for me.

I am having the same problem. Were you able to solve it?
If you restart the pc, it initializes the render

I just updated my photoshop to 25.4.0 and still it won't render. This is rediculous.
