I tried with a magic wand, but I don't understand how to bring back the desired color instead of the one to be replaced.

hope it will be helpful for you!

In Photoshop Elements 2024, select the face, create a new layer, use the Brush tool with the desired color, adjust opacity if needed, and fine-tune with adjustment layers like Hue/Saturation. Save your work when satisfied.

  • Open Image: Open the image in Photoshop Elements.

  • Select Face: Use "Selection" tools (e.g., lasso, magic wand) to precisely select the face.

  • Create New Layer: Create a new layer before any changes for non-destructive work.

  • Choose Brush Tool: Select the "Brush" tool from the toolbar.

  • Set Foreground Color: Choose the face color as the foreground color.

  • Adjust Brush Settings: Modify brush settings like size and hardness.

  • Paint Face: Paint over the face; the brush will replace the color.

  • Adjust Layer Opacity: Fine-tune color intensity by adjusting layer opacity.

  • Fine-Tune with Adjustment Layers: Use adjustment layers like "Hue/Saturation" on the new layer.

  • Save: Save your work when satisfied.

Thanks johnson5,

I intended to copy the color from a photo to transform another photo with the same color on the face (this is a photomontage, therefore to match the copied face to the skin of the final subject).

It seems to me that it can be done using the magic wand, but I don't understand the final steps. I haven't found any videos about it. They are only for the Photoshop non-Elements version.

Thanks again, bye.
