Replace Contents not working

Hi all,

I'm working in a large email newsletter photoshop document where I have previously been able to use the Move Tool to go find the image in our hero, right click and select Replace Contents and update it with the new photo from my computer.

Now, when I select Replace Contents it asks me to Place from Creative Cloud and won't give me the option to select a file from my computer at all. In fact, I can't select anything in there except for X'ing out of the module. Can anyone help with this?

Thank you in advance!

Have you tried the Properties panel (Window > Properties)?

Layer > Smart Objects > Replace Content?

Presuming that you have a "Frame", you can also drag the layer icon for the image to the layer panel trash, retaining the frame. Then you can use the Properties panel to select a new source image:

Have you tried resetting Photoshop preferences?

It works perfectly fine on my laptop...
