Hello.
I notice that when I am resizing images prints sometimes they don't come out the way I want them to unless I crop. Is there anyway to fix this without cropping? ( I notice this a ton when I am doing 8x10.) The sizing sometimes comes out as 8 x5 instead of 8 x10.
Thanks for your help!
Sincerely,
Hailey Finch

If you do a constrain resize the imags aspect ratio will not change. If you do and unconstrained resize if the images aspect ratio is changed the image will distort. An 8" x 10" is a Portrait aspect ratio 4:5. A 8" x 5" is a landscape Aspect Ratio 8:5. You can not resize a Landscape to a portrait without sever distortion.
So if you have a 16" x 10" 300ppi Landscape Image and use images size with resample not checked so the image quality will not change and set the image width to 8" Photoshop will set the height to 5" and the Print resolution to 600ppi to do a constrained resize. The resulting image aspect ratio will still be 8:5 a landscape aspect ratio.
if you check Resample in Image Size and unlink width and height and set the width to 8" and the height to 10" to eo an unconstrained resize the Image will become distorted portrait aspect ration image.
