I had to restore some picture’s made end sixties. On these pictures is a kind of raster, I tried all kinds of filters, but doesn’t work. Is there in the community someone who knows to solve this. Screenshot is closed in. Thanks for the help.

Correct answer Jeff Arola

You can use an FFT filter to remove the pattern.

Is your Mac an Intel or Apple Silicon (M1,M2,M3)?

There is another FFT plugin here that is based on the same code if your hesitant about using the Fixel FFT Wizard 2

download process.

They need to get a developer account and sign those plugins.

Too much hassle, and I have no idea how (I just do the Photoshop part). Too much of a new set of skills to learn from scratch, and I don't have a Mac to test on either. So it will not happen unless someone else volunteers to do it for free...

So yeah, annoying for Mac users to install. But no problem on Windows at least.

Jan,

Were you able to install the Fixel FFT Wizard 2?

The reason i asked about your Mac being Intel or Apple Silicon, is on Apple Silicon one has to run Photoshop under Rosetta to use the Fixel FFT Wizard 2.

Is this a kind of stippled/dimpled paper?

If so I would recommend scanning at least four times, each time rotated 90˚ further, and combining the images (with Stack Mode).
