when making a portfolio of your retouching, do you always include before/after versions?

If you're a recruiter looking at portfolios, do you prefer to see before/after versions?

I've been retouching for years, but I need to make a proper presentation of this aspect of my work.

I personally beleive the most common mistake of retouchers is to not clearly show the before image. We are intimately familiar with our images, but we have to realize that the audience needs to see the oriiginal image,

I personally love the slider as shown on this site, just woudl make an icon that shawas <-Before |  After-->

Some portfolios show the before and after next to each other, but I am a fan of big images, and rollovers to maximize size fo images on screen.

My website is under construction and just a testing ground of technical issues,  as cannot post most of my best samples due to confidentiality agreements, even though the items are all published. Most of the companies I have worked for want those samples exclusively in their own portfolio, and after multiple cease & desist letters decided to not post as am not looking for a job, but feel free to look.

Nice effects!  is that a public domain Java applet for that?  I just have a Carbonmade site, should I design a Wix or Wordpress site?

I'm in the pre-search stage - my family obligations will be changing in a year, so I want to be ready to make a move by then...

Wish I knew about if an applet exists for that slider, or how to create that, but a few other using the same.

Adobe Muse though no longer being updated is quick to learn, and very powerful. Wix and wordpress you can get stuck on the simplest of thinngs to do, but if you are familiar using those them go for that. Dreamweaver has deralied since going HTML 5 and very time consuming and high learning curve to get a simple robust portfolio site out.

You might do a search on Behance for photo retouching to see what other folks are doing. I've seen both. I would think it would depend on what you want to show. Is the difference significant or subtle?
