Retrieving file that was written over.

File was saved accidently with a bank artboard.  There was a painting that I was doing and half completed.  Is there anyway to get the previous work back?

Are you working out of Dropbox or using Time Machine on a Mac by any chance?

If you used PSDC online then you can revert to a previous version.

If you saved using other formats such as PSD, TIFF, jpeg etc then you are reliant on back up versions. Do you have a back up available between making the file and overwriting it?
