Hi!

I'm creating a road texture to use in a game and I wan't to make a good looking edge between the road surface and the gravel beside. See the attached images below. The first one is from Photoshop and the second is from Google Maps and is what I'm looking for to achieve. Just a small, kind of grunge, "not so perfect", edge to divide the road from the gravel. I have tried with several brushs presets but can't manage to get it right.

I'm thankful for any help to achieve this.

All the best

/Marcus

Found another way of making the edge as a mask. Took a screenshot from Google Maps Street View, edited the levels on the Blue Channel to get a black and white image. Below is the result. I even made that selection to a brush preset for easy use!

If they are on two separate layers then just roughen up the edge of the mask .

If they are both on the same layer (as you posted), then you could use the liquify filter and run along nudging the edge back and forth as below

Before liquify

After liquify

Thanks for the answer. They are on two separate layers and I found out that using filters (Torn edges and Spatter) on the mask worked out pretty well also.
