Rotate Marquee in Subtract From Selection Mode

Hello community.

I know how to rotate the marquee selection tool when in "New selection" mode. However, when in "Subtract from selection" mode, the "marching ants" disappear as soon as you let go of the left-click on the mouse. As a result I cannot figure out how to transform and rotate the tool in this mode.

Is there a way to rotate the marquee when executing a "Subtract from selection"?

Thanks!

No, I don't believe there is. In cases like that, I think you would need to either create the selections rotate, then save to a channel, where you can then combine several selections with using the various combine modes.

Use the poly lasso tool. You could set guide lines to snap the four corners to.  Or create paths you edit and convert to selection.

However if you want to use Paths use Photoshop 2020 not PS 2021 with the enhancements made to Photoshop vector tools with the live corners I can not seem to be able to drag out multiple rectangles in a combined manor.  Seo PS 2020 here
