Save a Copy versus Save As

When  save a PSD file in PS and then attempt to Save As a JPG, the JPG option is no longer there. I am forced to Save a copy instead and also the word copy is now included in the file name. This happened previously with a PS update and the reason given was so more easikly accomodate Mac users. This situation resolved inself, (I assume with another update) but has reappeared with the latest update 23.4.1 Is the future now that we Save a Copy instead of Save as?

Hi

You can revert to the legacy SaveAs in the preferences

The situation has not resolved itself, because it was caused by a change that Apple made in MacOS. You can go to the old behavior however in the Photoshop prefereces - File Handling - Legacy Save As.
