Save as Copy

When creating duplicate copy of a original JPEG file, there is no new tab tap created with the duplicated copy name. Instead I have to go to Windows explorer folder and open that duplicated file. What is the reason for that?

Save a Copy saves a copy of the active document and that copy is obviously not open after creation. 

Could it be that you wanted to use Image > Duplicate – which would create an open but unsaved copy of the active image?
