Save options for export as

I've been putting off trying to figure this issue out for quite some time. I finally am taking action since I'm very frustrated. With photoshop's Save for Web (legacy) function saving multiple files to the same location is pretty seamless. However, I recently switched over to Photoshop's Export As and every single time I need to save something it takes me to the desktop. Any help on this?
