Hello Support,

I need some help with respect to understand the working of Photoshop CS6 and CC.

I understand there are major difference in CS6 and CC but I am unable to get this information.

There are still  a lot of people are using CS6 for editing purpose and they have not yet checked the functions of CC.

It would be really great if you can guide me as how can I convince them to use CC where they can save their time and effort by using some new features which are exclusively available in CC.

Thank you for your support in advance.

IMO all will not agree that there are major difference. There are definitely changes and new feature so there are also compatibility issues as well.  So make sure if you tell them that CS6 is also available with a CC licence.  That they should keep.  CS6 Installed.

However the are some issues between the Creative Cloud CS6 Version 13.1.2 and the Perpetual CS6 versions Mac Version 13.0.6 Windows version 13.0.3.   So some users may  still has compatibility issues moving to the Creative Cloud.

All version of Photoshop have some bugs and new bugs will get introduced.  You should always have a least one older version of Photoshop that works for what you do in case some new Creative Cloud update brakes something you relie on iin the current version of Photoshop.   Many bugs get out of Adobe's doors.  Adobe Management  needs to work on that problem.

The new features and functions are too numerous to list. They may be important for some people and not for others - but in any case you can't persuade any CS6 users with this. If you could, they would already have upgraded.

Two other arguments are more urgent:

    • their CS6 will soon stop working properly on new operating systems and new hardware. It's already happened for many.
    • you lose integration with other applications where it's much more critical to be on the latest version - Lightroom and InDesign come to mind. You'll have a hard time collaborating with others.

CC isn't a version, it's a name for a whole series of versions. So what you are looking at is 5 separate upgrades. Each one had detailed info at the time, but nobody is combining them into a single document.
