Almost everytime I edit PS stop to give me the option to save my work. When I click on save or save as nothing happens, then when i say close document and it asks me if i want to save the document, i say yes, and again nothing happens. I have to restart PS everytime and open the documents again and start editing again with the hope that it will save when i click on save

Which version of Photoshop and OS?
How much RAM and spare hard disk capacity do you have?
(Recent versions of Photoshop demand a powerful computer)

The easiest way to reset your Photoshop preferences back to the factory defaults (which often solves common issues) is to select "Reset Preferences on Quit", which is found under the General tab in Photoshop preferences, then closing and reopening the application.

Hi @Frans267842279kz1 Go to Apple System Settings/Security and Privacy/Full Disk Access and make sure PS is listed and active

Did you reset your preferences?

I have a problem with the File - Save or File - Save as function. When I click on any one of them nothing happens, the photo I am working on doesn't want to save with any of the options, and I have to restart PS. I think there is a bug in PS

Hi @Frans267842279kz1 sounds like you need to reset your preferences. Somehow your auto save is on but not in the background?
