Saved as PDF file pushed to website opens PS

I saved two JPEGs as PDFs in PS, then put them to my remote server in DW. Close PS. Why is it that each time I click on the links on the website, PS reopens with a new instance of the file, i.e., image-file-1, image-file-2, and so on, instead of the PDF on the remote server opening?

I am using Firefox with the cache cleaner, but it has no effect. On the other hand, if I open a different browser I have not been working with open, i.e. Chrome, the PDFs on the remote server open normally. How do I stop this in PS, it's very annoying.
