I recently got a new printer and now I get this dang message on Photoshop.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer, Photoshop and even went as far as to install an older version of Photoshop to resolve this issue but have failed.
Can anyone suggest something else because I am clueless about what to do next.
Thanks for your time

Hold the spacebar when you click Print. This clears the old print metadata stored in the file (and that throws your new printer off).

Thank you so much for this, it worked! Been having the same problem after today's PS update.
Perhaps Adobe should include this info in the little popup instead of that useless message 🙄

This did not work for me, just keeps closing program and not printing. I had to redo the project to get it to print this should not be. I should be able to print to any printer I want to print to.

Hey there @Jimmy949,
I understand your frustration. Is this issue happening only with Photoshop, or is it also affecting other apps? Could you let me know if the error occurs with just that specific file, or are you unable to print any file?
Thanks a lot!
Alek

Did you try to press the spacebar when clicking "print", to clear old print metadata from the file?
There is no known issue that I'm aware of.

@Jimmy949 Yep I agree with DFosse, when printing a legacy image [which will include out of date printer data] , please try to press the spacebar at the same time as clicking "print", to clear old print metadata from the file?"
If that doesn’t help -
IF it’s a MAC, reset printing system:
On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Preferences, then click Printers & Scanners
Press and hold the Control key as you click in the list at the left, then choose “Reset printing system” from the menu that appears.
After you reset the printing system, the list of printers in Printers & Scanners preferences is empty.
Reinstall the print driver, only from the manufacturer, not Apple.
Also (fort both Mac and Win) take a look at the following article and check if that helps:

You may like to re-install the printer drivers to check if that makes a difference?

Simple reset: hold the space bar when you open the print window. It resets the print dialogs

Perhaps try resetting Photoshop preferences?
Resetting restores Photoshop's internal preferences which are saved when Photoshop closes. If they become corrupt then various issues can occur.
Here's some info on how to do that:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html
You may want to backup your settings beforehand:

It may even be time to reinstall Photoshop.
Use the Adobe CC cleaner tool to remove all traces first.
Uninstall photoshop BUT make sure to choose the option “Yes, remove app preference”.
Once that process finishes, start the installation process and look into the “Advanced Options”. Uncheck “Import previous settings and preferences” and choose to “Remove old versions”.

I hope this helps
