Saving a color palette to a PSDT photoshop template file

Hello.

I'd like to simply save my brand color palette to my PSDT photoshop template file. My PSDT file seems to not contain the color palette when a freelancer opens the file.

I'm sure they can download this palette from the cloud if I save it to the cloud - but is it possible to simply just have the color palette be part of the untitled document that opens when the PSDT file is opened?

Swatches are stored in Photoshop in the Swatches panel, not in a document or template. Instead you can save the swatches as an ASE (Adobe Swatch Exchange) file and send that.

  • Select the swatches (Shift key)
  • Swatches panel menu
  • Export selected swatches for exchange

The .ase file can be used by Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. The recipient can import the swatches from the panel menu.
