I just installed CS6 and am trying to save a high resolution PNG in Photoshop. When I go to File > Save As there is no longer a PNG option available. How do I save a high resolution png?
thanks
When I switched the file to RGB, the PNG option came back in the Save As section. Thanks for the tip.

What do you mean by "high resolution"? Is it possible you're confusing pixel count with high bit depth?
Are you trying to somehow save a 16 bits/channel document in a PNG?
As far as I know Photoshop can only save an 8 bits/channel document as a PNG.
Some formats, such as JPEG, will automatically do the downconversion for you, but not PNG. Use Image - Mode - 8 bits/channel to get there from here.

Save As PNG will save 16-bit and 8-bit PNG.
Save For Web PNG will save 8-bit only.

Oops, wow, I really need to check my facts before posting. I confused that with another format I guess.
Thank you for the correction, Conroy! I learned something new.

Are you sure that Photoshop is in RGB or Grayscale, and 16-bit or 8-bit?
