saving images as .tiff's and layers appear to save BUT when imported into indesign some are missing.

I finally give up of reading forms for an answer.

Using

Adobe Photoshop CC 19.1.3

Adobe Indesign CC 13.1

iMac (27-inch late 2013)

Safari 11.0.2

Over the past month I have been importing and saving new images for use in an Indesign catalog.  Approximately 700 images with about 300 needing to be converted to Gray Scale mode.  Most are 4+ layers.  Each image was saved as either a psd or tiff.  When saving I "save as" and rename and placed in file folders. My export selections have not changed. No problem up until today.

Today I re-opened them and both color and gray scale, newly converted .tiff's are not displaying all layers.  Drop shadow (layer 1) displays in the Thumbnail but when placed into InDesign, its missing.  In the screen cap below its clearly there.

What am I missing and do you have any suggestions what to search under?

Thanks in advance.

    Will dropbox do??

here is what I see in the path panel

I don’t use the dark Color Themes because they are unfit for print work, so I am not that familiar with that appearance.

Anyway, when you choose »Clipping Path« from the Paths Panel’s fly-out menu try setting it to »None« instead of »Path 1« – does the saved and updated file appear differently in Indesign?

Please provide a sample file each (one indd and one tif that has been placed in the indd but appears faulty).

Are there Paths or non-composite Channels present in the tifs?

Edit: In particular I suspect there might be Clipping Paths involved.

Thank you for the response.  below are two of the images requested.

1 .indd doc with faulty images, BW & Color (note drop shadow)

1 .tiff correct image. (photoshop screen capture)

Your question: Are there Paths or non-composite Channels present in the tifs? I do not know, this question is above my understanding of Photoshop.

If this is not what you need to evaluate, just let me know.  Thanks for your time.

I meant the actual files, not screenshots.

When you open the file in photoshop and look at the Paths Panel (Window > Paths) is there a Path with a bold name?
