Saving or exporting is not recorded to new actions

Hey Guys,

I'm using PS for years (or decades :)) now for batch file mods and exports. Today as I tried to create a new action for converting PSDs to PNG... 1. the Save for web... isn't working anymore and 2. if I try to export the file while recording, the export itself is not recorded to the "action". It worked few days ago, I remember. But if I try to roll back the previous version of PS, somehow nothing is changing. Any ideas or alternative solutions are appreciated. Thanks!
