Scale proportionally has reverted back to the old version?

I loved the update where you no longer have to hold shift to scale proportionally but a week ago I started up my photoshop (Version 2021) and it had reverted back to how it was before 2019. I can't seem to find where this problem originates (have tried turning legacy controls on and then off) I just want to scale my images proportionally without holding shift.

Hi @TineFromtheFields

After you go to Edit > Free Transform, look in the options bar for the Link button in between Width and Height. Click it to toggle the controls to work independently or in tandem.
