Scale proportionally

Hello,

Photoshop 20.0.5 / Win10 (latest)

There was an PS update in the last years (I don't know when exactly). However this update had a new

default of proportional scaling. You scaled objects proportionally without holding shift.

Photoshop did not give users the option to disable this feature manually or to reset it to the standard of many years before. Instead you had to create a PSUserConfig.txt in the Photoshop CC Settings folder and with the command "TransformProportionalScale 0" you could reset this unusual setting.

This does not work anymore since the latest version. I have the PSUserConfig in my Settings folder, but since the last update this function is simply reset.

I do NOT want to scale objects proportionally without holding SHIFT.

Can someone please explain to me how I can restore this standard ?

It's very important to me and I do not understand why Adobe does not just give users the option to reset it in Preferences?

Thank you,
Dominik

for psd 2024 what do I do to have scale proportionaly by default?

Now I need to press shift and it's a step more.

Using legacy free transform checked or uncheked has no effect, I still need to press shift.

Thank you
